The verdict

A capable mid-size suv, strong on safety and held back by efficiency.

The 2024 Palisade is one of the easiest three-row SUVs to recommend to a family: it seats up to eight, has 42.4 inches of second-row legroom, and even the $38,045 base SE comes with a 12.3-inch screen and a full driver-assist suite. Hyundai's 5-year/60,000-mile and 10-year/100,000-mile warranties come with three years of free maintenance. The trade-offs are fuel, because the only engine is a thirsty V6 that returns 22 MPG combined and costs about $2,950 a year to fuel, and an unexciting drive. It also has a busy recall record for this model year, including a valve-spring campaign that affects only 2024 models, so check that every recall on a used example has been done.

Detailed scoring by subject

1Performance & PowertrainOne of the Palisade's weakest categories.1.29D
Horsepower
291 hp (3.8L V6, all trims)
35/100
#9 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Every 2024 Palisade trim, including the volume SEL, uses the same 3.8L Lambda II naturally aspirated V6 rated at 291 hp. 2024 is a carry-over year after the 2023 mid-cycle refresh of the first generation.

Torque
262 lb-ft (3.8L V6)
36/100
#17 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

The V6 makes 262 lb-ft of torque, which peaks high in the rev range as usual for a naturally aspirated engine. That trails the turbo and hybrid rivals in low-end pull.

0–60 mph time
≈7.3 s (AWD; tests range 7.0–7.6 s)
37/100
#15 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Instrumented results for the 2024 V6 AWD cluster around 7.0–7.6 seconds, which is mid-pack for a three-row mid-size SUV. The SEL uses the same powertrain, so it performs about the same.

Powertrain refinement72
#7 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

The naturally aspirated 3.8L V6 is smooth and quiet and has no turbo lag or hybrid handoffs. However, it has to be revved to deliver its torque and feels stretched when the vehicle is fully loaded.

Transmission behavior74
#7 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

The 8-speed torque-converter automatic shifts smoothly and unobtrusively and never drones the way a CVT does. Its kickdowns can be leisurely when you ask for passing power.

Max towing capacity
5,000 lbs with trailer brakes (1,650 lbs unbraked)
57/100
#6 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

The 5,000-lb rating applies across the lineup and matches the segment norm set by the Telluride, Pilot and Explorer base engines.

AWD/4WD availability74
#8 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

HTRAC AWD is available on every trim from SE to Limited and is standard on the Calligraphy. It adds Snow mode and, since the 2023 refresh, multi-terrain settings and a center lock, but there is no low range.

Off-road capability45
#12 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

The Palisade is a road-focused unibody crossover with about 7.9 in of ground clearance and no skid plates, all-terrain tires or low range. The XRT trim is an appearance package rather than real off-road hardware.

Powertrain lineup breadth30
#13 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

The 2024 Palisade offers a single powertrain, the 3.8L V6 with an 8-speed automatic, in FWD or AWD. There is no turbo, hybrid or plug-in alternative; the hybrid arrived only with the 2026 second generation.

2Efficiency & RangeThe Palisade's lowest-graded category.0.69F
3SafetyThe Palisade's best-graded category.3.50A-
NHTSA overall rating
5 stars overall (5★ frontal, 5★ side, 4★ rollover)
100/100
#1 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

The 2024 Palisade, a carry-over year of the first-generation (LX2, 2020-2025) body refreshed for 2023, holds a 5-star NHTSA overall rating with 5-star frontal and side results; rollover is the typical 4 stars for a tall three-row SUV.

IIHS awards & crashworthiness78
#7 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Earned a 2024 IIHS Top Safety Pick (not Plus) with Good small-overlap, original moderate-overlap and updated side results, but the updated moderate-overlap front test — which measures rear-seat passenger protection — rated Poor, which is what kept it off TSP+. An award with one Poor key result sits at the top of the middle band rather than in the 80s.

Standard ADAS suite breadth90
#2 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Hyundai SmartSense is standard on every 2024 Palisade trim from the base SE: Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with pedestrian/cyclist and junction-turning detection, Blind-Spot and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping and Lane Following Assist, Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Highway Driving Assist, Safe Exit Assist, Driver Attention Warning and Rear Occupant Alert. Nothing in the core AEB/ACC/LKA/BSM/RCTA set is trim-locked.

Automatic emergency braking performance76
#12 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

IIHS rates the Palisade's pedestrian front crash prevention Good, and this generation earned Superior in the legacy vehicle-to-vehicle test; FCA covers pedestrians, cyclists and junction turns. No result under IIHS's tougher updated vehicle-to-vehicle protocol was shown, so it is held just under the top band.

Blind-spot & cross-traffic coverage85
#2 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist are standard on all trims and both intervene with braking rather than just alerting, plus Safe Exit Assist is standard. Blind-Spot View Monitor (camera feed in the cluster) is limited to Limited and Calligraphy, and there is no trailer-length-aware blind-spot coverage despite the 5,000-lb tow rating.

Lane keeping & centering81
#2 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Lane Keeping Assist and Lane Following Assist are standard and reviewers describe Hyundai's centering as smooth and well-calibrated, keeping the big SUV mid-lane without ping-ponging; it is among the better mainstream systems in the class.

Adaptive cruise & highway assist84
#1 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go and Highway Driving Assist are standard, combining full-speed-range ACC with lane centering; Limited and Calligraphy add Highway Driving Assist 2 with assisted lane changes and navigation-based curve slowdown. A refined, well-integrated package for a mainstream three-row.

Hands-free driving availability15
#8 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

No hands-free highway driving system is offered at any trim; Highway Driving Assist 2 still requires hands on the wheel. Scored just above the floor for the competent hands-on assist, with no answer to Super Cruise (Traverse/Acadia) or BlueCruise.

Headlight performance90
#1 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

IIHS rates the headlights Good on every 2024 trim — LED projector low and high beams with High Beam Assist standard — which is the top of the guidance band. Not curve-adaptive.

Outward visibility72
#9 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

The tall seating position and large side glass give good forward and side sightlines, but the thick D-pillars and third-row headrests limit the rearward view, typical of the class. Surround View Monitor and Blind-Spot View Monitor compensate only on Limited/Calligraphy; the volume SEL relies on a rear camera.

Child-seat (LATCH) usability70
#17 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

IIHS rates LATCH ease of use Acceptable — workable, but the lower anchors are not as easy to reach as Good-rated rivals. Wide rear doors, a one-touch sliding second row and a usable third row make multiple car seats livable in either the 8-seat bench or 7-seat captain's-chair layout.

4Space & ComfortOne of the Palisade's strongest categories.3.33B+
Seating capacity
8 seats (SE/SEL bench); 7 with 2nd-row captain's chairs (SEL option, XRT, Limited, Calligraphy)

The volume SE/SEL trims seat eight with a second-row bench; captain's chairs drop it to seven on upper trims.

Front headroom
40.7 in (39.3 in with sunroof)
74/100
#11 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Generous front headroom for the class without the sunroof; the sunroof fitted to upper trims takes 1.4 in.

Front legroom
44.1 in
91/100
#6 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Near the top of the mid-size three-row class for front legroom.

Rear headroom
40.1 in 2nd row (38.8 in with sunroof); 3rd row 37.8 in
100/100
#1 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Second-row headroom is excellent and even the third row clears 37 in.

Rear legroom
42.4 in 2nd row; 31.4 in 3rd row
100/100
#1 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Second-row legroom is among the most generous in the segment.

Third-row usability72
#4 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

A real third row with 37.8 in of headroom and one-touch second-row slide access, but 31.4 in of legroom makes it adult-tolerable on short trips rather than adult-comfortable; power fold/unfold, heating and USB-C come on Limited and up.

Cargo/trunk volume
45.8 cu ft behind 2nd row (18.0 behind 3rd)
38/100
#9 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Class-competitive cargo behind the second row with the third row folded; 18 cu ft behind the third row is usable for groceries or a stroller.

Max cargo volume
86.4 cu ft
70/100
#9 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Solid maximum cargo figure for a mid-size three-row, short of the Traverse/Atlas but ahead of most rivals.

In-cabin storage & clever solutions74
#5 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Large floating center console with a reconfigurable cupholder/bin, underfloor cargo bin, 14–16 cupholders and an electric second-row release from the cargo area; a 115V outlet is available but only on SEL Premium and Limited+.

Seat comfort80
#2 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Front seats are repeatedly praised as exceptionally comfortable and the second row is roomy and supportive; the base SE's 6-way manual cloth seat and wide console that crowds taller drivers keep it from the top band.

Ride quality70
#15 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Well controlled and composed on the volume trims' 18-in wheels; the 20-in wheels on XRT/Limited/Calligraphy make it 'acceptable but not posh' over broken pavement.

Cabin quietness74
#7 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Quiet at idle and cruise with an acoustic windshield and front acoustic glass on all trims, though reviewers note pronounced tire noise on the 20-in wheels.

Climate & comfort features80
#5 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Second-row automatic climate and third-row vents are standard, heated front seats and wheel from SEL, and Limited+ add ventilated fronts, heated second and third rows and side sunshades — ventilated second-row seats are rare in the class; the base SE lacks seat heating.

5Cost of OwnershipGrades above the middle of the scale.2.85B-
Base MSRP
$38,045 (SE FWD $36,650 + $1,395 destination)
67/100
#7 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

The 2024 Palisade, a carry-over year of the first-generation LX2 refreshed for 2023, opens with the SE FWD at $36,650 before destination. That puts the entry price in the middle of the three-row mid-size class.

Volume-Trim Price
$42,795 (SEL HTRAC AWD incl. destination); range $38,045 SE FWD to $56,245 Calligraphy Night AWD
61/100
#9 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

The SEL is the volume trim and most Palisades are sold with HTRAC AWD. That lands at about $42.8K delivered before options.

5-Year Maintenance & Repair Cost
~$4,709 over 5 years ($4,020 maintenance + $689 repairs)
74/100
#7 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

The naturally aspirated 3.8L V6 and eight-speed automatic are a simple, inexpensive powertrain to maintain. Hyundai's 3-year/36,000-mile complimentary maintenance covers the early service visits, and the 5-year warranty keeps repair exposure low, so the projected cost sits below the three-row class norm.

5-Year Resale Value Retention
~51–54% of MSRP retained at 5 years
40/100
#6 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Palisade residuals are sound for the class. The two published 5-year projections are 51% (CarEdge) and about 54% (KBB), so the midpoint is used. The 2024 example is also holding up well early: about 72% retained after year one.

Basic warranty
5 yr / 60,000 mi bumper-to-bumper
100/100
#1 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Hyundai's 5-year/60,000-mile new-vehicle limited warranty is two years longer than the Honda, Toyota and Ford norm and tops the band.

Powertrain warranty
10 yr / 100,000 mi powertrain (original owner; 5 yr/60,000 mi for subsequent owners)
100/100
#1 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

The 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain coverage tops the band. The caveat is that it covers the original owner only.

Complimentary maintenance & perks78
#2 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Hyundai Complimentary Maintenance covers factory-scheduled oil changes and tire rotations for 3 years/36,000 miles, alongside 5 years of unlimited-mileage roadside assistance and a complimentary Bluelink trial period. That is genuinely multi-year included maintenance; its Telluride twin and the Pilot have none. It sits just below the top band because the plan covers only basic services, and Bluelink becomes paid after the trial.

Effective 5-Year Ownership Cost
$25,251 (≈$20,542 depreciation + $4,709 maintenance)
64/100
#6 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

$42,795 volume-trim price minus its estimated resale value after 5 years (52% retained, or about $22,253) leaves about $20,542 in depreciation. Add the projected $4,709 in 5-year maintenance and repairs, and owning this vehicle for 5 years costs about $25,251 in total.

6Reliability & QualityGrades above the middle of the scale.2.80B-
Predicted reliability74
#2 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

The 2024 is a carry-over year of the 2023-refreshed first-generation (LX2) Palisade, a mature platform in its fifth model year. J.D. Power rates it 'Great' on quality and reliability, but a model-year-specific engine recall and the usual average-ish read from Consumer Reports keep it below the Highlander-class top tier.

Brand reliability track record72
#10 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Hyundai now sits above industry average in J.D. Power's three-year dependability study and leads its Initial Quality Study as a group, but it is not a consistent top-five dependability brand alongside Lexus, Toyota and Buick, and its legacy Theta II engine campaigns still weigh on the long-run record.

Recall & TSB history52
#13 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

The 2024 Palisade is covered by five NHTSA campaigns, including an engine valve-spring recall specific to this model year and a park-outside fire-risk recall on the Idle Stop & Go oil-pump controller, plus fleet-wide 2020–2025 seat-belt-buckle and third-row curtain-airbag campaigns — busy for a mature platform, though none is a long-running systemic failure.

Powertrain durability reputation72
#5 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

The naturally aspirated 3.8L Lambda II V6 with the in-house 8-speed automatic is a broadly proven Hyundai/Kia combination shared with the Telluride since 2020, but the 2024 model year specifically drew a broken-valve-spring recall and the ISG oil-pump fire campaign, so it falls short of the high-mileage-proven band.

Interior material quality80
#3 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

The 2023 refresh upgraded the cabin with richer trim and the Calligraphy grade's quilted Nappa leather and suede headliner; even the volume SEL feels above-class for the money, with hard plastics confined to low-touch areas. Reviewers routinely rank it near the top of mainstream three-rows on materials.

Fit & finish76
#4 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Ulsan-built assembly is consistent on a mature body, and Hyundai's strong initial-quality standing reflects that; scattered owner complaints centre on infotainment glitches and minor trim noises rather than structural fit problems.

Dealer & service network76
#13 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Hyundai's roughly 800-plus US dealers give dense nationwide coverage, and the 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty plus 3-year complimentary maintenance lower ownership friction, but J.D. Power owners rate the Palisade dealership experience only average.

Parts availability & repair cost74
#13 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Mechanical parts are plentiful and normally priced because the 3.8L V6 and 8-speed are shared with the Telluride and other high-volume Hyundai/Kia models, and five model years of production have built aftermarket support; repair costs track the mid-size SUV average.

7Technology & InfotainmentOne of the Palisade's weakest categories.2.29C
Touchscreen size
12.3 in (standard on every trim)
62/100
#5 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Every 2024 Palisade gets the 12.3-in 1920x720 navigation touchscreen.

Infotainment UX & responsiveness72
#7 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Logical, well-organized menus with physical shortcut keys and volume/tune knobs, but the dated dark-blue graphics and a push-button gear selector draw criticism.

Wireless CarPlay / Android Auto45
#22 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard but wired-only on every 2024 trim — the 12.3-in unit never gained wireless projection, which reviewers call a glaring omission.

Voice control & native navigation66
#10 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Standard native navigation with HD Radio traffic, OTA map updates and Dynamic Voice Recognition on every trim; capable but not a natural-language assistant, and most owners still project their phone.

Audio system quality72
#5 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

A 630-W, 12-speaker Harman Kardon system with QuantumLogic Surround is available (SEL Premium) and standard on Limited+; the base 6-speaker setup is ordinary.

Digital instrument cluster58
#12 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

SE, SEL and XRT keep analog gauges with a 4.2-in color display; the 12.3-in digital cluster is an SEL option and standard only from Limited up.

OTA update capability50
#18 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Over-the-air updates cover navigation maps (and infotainment software) only; no whole-vehicle OTA on this generation.

Companion app & remote functions74
#4 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Bluelink offers remote start with climate, lock/unlock and vehicle finder, plus Digital Key 2 Touch phone-as-key from SEL; remote services become subscription-based after the complimentary period.

Charging ports & device power72
#11 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Five USB ports (four USB-C) across the first two rows are standard; third-row USB-C, 15-W wireless charging and a 115V outlet arrive with SEL Premium or Limited.

Keyless & remote access82
#4 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Proximity entry with push-button start is standard on every trim, remote start via Bluelink, Hyundai Digital Key 2 Touch from SEL, and a hands-free smart liftgate on upper trims.

Camera & parking aids72
#7 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Rear camera with guidance and parking sensors standard; surround-view and Blind-Spot View Monitor come with SEL Premium or Limited, and Calligraphy adds Remote Smart Parking Assist and a full-display mirror.

Head-up display availability60
#5 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

A 10-in color HUD is offered but only on Limited, Calligraphy and Night Edition — not on the volume SE/SEL/XRT trims.

Kid & car-seat practicality82
#5 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Eight-seat bench or captain's chairs, one-touch second-row slide for third-row access, Rear Occupant Alert and a big 42.4-in second row make daily kid logistics easy; IIHS LATCH ease of use only Acceptable.

Family safety package84
#4 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

2024 IIHS Top Safety Pick and NHTSA 5-star overall, with forward collision avoidance, blind-spot collision avoidance, Safe Exit Assist, Rear Occupant Alert and Navigation-based Smart Cruise standard even on the SE.

Family road-trip comfort80
#4 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Second-row climate, 3rd-row vents, USB-C in the first two rows and Rear Seat Quiet Mode/Passenger Talk make long trips easy; 18 cu ft behind the third row limits luggage with all seats filled.

Daily driving ease72
#11 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Smooth V6 and 8-speed with no turbo lag, Smart Cruise with Stop & Go standard, and excellent front seats; the push-button shifter and its size in tight lots are the daily annoyances.

Commuting cost efficiency45
#18 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

19 mpg city and 22/21 combined on regular fuel is typical-to-weak for a V6 three-row with no hybrid option, making it a relatively costly daily commuter.

Parking & maneuverability56
#10 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

A 196-in-long, 78-in-wide three-row with a 38.7-ft turning circle is manageable rather than easy; surround view and Remote Smart Parking Assist help but sit on upper trims.

Work capability52
#12 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

A 5,000-lb tow rating with a standard trailering package (HD coolers, sway control) and 86 cu ft of cargo handle light work; payload and unibody construction cap anything heavier.

Durability for work duty55
#9 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

The naturally aspirated 3.8L V6 and conventional 8-speed are a proven combination, but the Palisade is a family crossover with upscale interiors and no fleet or hard-use reputation.

Jobsite & upfit practicality40
#18 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Roof rails (220-lb load), accessory hitch and an available 115V outlet are the extent of work provisions; there is no upfit ecosystem.

Long-distance comfort & range76
#6 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Excellent seats, a quiet cabin and Highway Driving Assist with navigation-based cruise make it a relaxing mile-eater; ~400 miles of range is only average.

Outdoor & adventure capability58
#17 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

HTRAC AWD with Snow/Mud/Sand modes, 7.9 in of clearance, roof rails and 5,000-lb towing handle gravel roads and campers; the XRT is a styling package, not an off-road trim.

Gear & luggage flexibility72
#12 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

60/40 split third row (power-folding on Limited+), power-folding second row, underfloor bin and roof rails swallow bulky gear well; max volume is good rather than class-leading.

9Driving ExperienceMid-pack among this car's ten categories.2.36C+
10Value & Market PositionOne of the Palisade's strongest categories.3.16B
Standard equipment generosity82
#1 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Since the 2023 refresh even the $36,650 SE carries a 12.3-in touchscreen with navigation, the full SmartSense suite including Highway Driving Assist, tri-zone climate, eight seats and USB ports in every row. Rivals such as the Highlander LE and Pilot Sport save comparable screens and driver-assist features for higher trims.

Feature value per dollar82
#1 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

About $38K buys a well-equipped eight-seat three-row with a 291-hp V6. The Calligraphy delivers near-luxury content for about $52K, several thousand below Toyota or Ford rivals similarly equipped. Hyundai's 5/60 basic and 10/100 powertrain warranties and the 3-year complimentary maintenance add value Honda and Toyota don't match.

Trim & configuration breadth76
#11 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Six well-spaced trims run from the SE through the SEL, XRT, Limited and Calligraphy to the Calligraphy Night. Each comes with FWD or $2,000 HTRAC AWD and seven- or eight-seat layouts. The gap is the powertrain: there is a single 3.8L V6, with no hybrid or turbo choice.

Sales popularity & market acceptance84
#2 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Palisade sales set a new annual record in calendar 2024: 110,055 units, up about 23% on 2023, in its fifth year on the market. That keeps it level with the Telluride and in the upper tier of the three-row class.

Brand desirability & image68
#11 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Hyundai's image has risen on design, warranty and value, and the Palisade is its upscale family flagship. It sits at the upper end of neutral because Hyundai still lacks Toyota and Honda's default-choice standing and their resale advantage.

Deals & incentive availability72
#15 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

As a late-cycle carry-over that was also being cleared ahead of the 2025 model and the 2026 redesign, the 2024 Palisade commonly carried subvented APR and lease offers plus retail cash. That is real buyer benefit without fire-sale pricing.

Model freshness55
#19 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

MY2024 is the fifth model year of the first generation (2020–2025), one year after the 2023 facelift refreshed the styling and the 12.3-in screens. A 2024 buyer has a current-looking car, but the all-new second generation followed two model years later, for 2026.

Critical reception & awards76
#6 of 25 Mid-Size SUVsCompare all →

Reviewers consistently praise the 2024 Palisade's upscale cabin, quiet ride and value, and it holds Car and Driver Editors' Choice standing and an IIHS Top Safety Pick. It falls short of the top band because its Kia Telluride twin usually wins head-to-head comparisons and took the 10Best honors.
