The verdict

A capable mid-size luxury suv, strong on technology and held back by ownership.

The 2026 QX60 is a comfortable, tech-forward three-row luxury SUV that gives you Mercedes-GLE-style content for roughly $10,000 less — dual 12.3-inch Google-built-in screens, wireless CarPlay, Klipsch audio and a 5-star NHTSA rating are all here at a $52,595 starting price. What you give up is under the hood and on the back end: a single 268-hp turbo four that reviewers call buzzy, 24 MPG combined on premium fuel, and resale that lands near 42% after five years — about $35,000 of depreciation on a $60,485 volume trim. Buy it if you want a quiet, well-equipped family hauler and plan to keep it a long time; look elsewhere if you resell every three years or want a hybrid. Best cross-shops are the Acura MDX, Lexus TX and Kia Telluride.

33/100
#22 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Mid-pack for a mid-size luxury three-row; the VC-Turbo four-cylinder's ~268 hp is asked to move ~4,600 lb of vehicle.

Powertrain refinement52
#23 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Multiple 2026 reviews call the VC-Turbo 'buzzy under load' and a step back in smoothness versus the outgoing V6; mid-range torque is decent but NVH and character disappoint at this price point.

Transmission behavior74
#18 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

9-speed automatic (replaced the pre-2022 CVT in the last redesign) generally shifts crisply and stays out of the way; occasional low-speed hesitancy noted, but no drone or hunting.

Max towing capacity
6,000 lbs (properly equipped)
71/100
#9 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Rated at 6,000 lbs when properly equipped — strong for the mid-size luxury three-row set (matches Explorer/Aviator/GV80 and beats most compact luxury SUVs).

AWD/4WD availability78
#15 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Intelligent AWD is optional on Pure and Luxe and standard on Sport and Autograph — widely available with modern electronic torque-split, but no low range or dedicated terrain modes.

Off-road capability32
#12 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Pavement-oriented luxury three-row: on-road-tuned Intelligent AWD, no low range, no skid plates or lockers, modest ground clearance (~6.9 in), no off-road trim. Snow/light gravel is the ceiling.

Powertrain lineup breadth18
#23 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Single powertrain across the entire QX60 range — the 2.0L VC-Turbo with 9-speed AT. No hybrid, PHEV or EV variant offered in the US, and the previous V6 was dropped.

2Efficiency & RangeOne of the QX60's weakest categories.1.03D
Combined fuel economy
24 MPG combined (22/27 AWD, 22/28 FWD)
47/100
#8 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

EPA rates the 2026 QX60 AWD (volume trim) at 24 MPG combined; FWD also lands at 24 combined. Powered by Infiniti's 2.0L VC-Turbo I4 (268 hp) with a 9-speed automatic — a carryover of the 2025 powertrain change from the prior V6.

City fuel economy
22 MPG city (FWD and AWD)
50/100
#8 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

EPA city rating of 22 MPG for both drivetrains. Trails hybrid mid-size luxury SUV rivals (Lexus RX 350h at 37 city, Lincoln Aviator PHEV) by a wide margin.

Highway fuel economy
27 MPG hwy (AWD); 28 MPG hwy (FWD)
44/100
#9 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

EPA highway rating of 27 MPG on AWD, 28 MPG on FWD. AWD is the volume drivetrain in the LUXE/LUXE+ mix.

Driving range
~444 mi combined (18.5-gal tank × 24 MPG combined)
51/100
#11 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

18.5-gallon fuel tank at 24 MPG combined yields ~444 miles theoretical range on a tank; highway-biased driving pushes closer to ~500 mi.

Estimated annual fuel cost
~$2,900/yr (15k mi at 24 combined MPG, premium)
29/100
#10 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

At EPA's 15k mi/yr methodology on premium fuel (~$4.60/gal recent EPA baseline), 625 gal/yr × ~$4.60 ≈ $2,875. Dealer monthly-cost quotes of $237–$243/mo corroborate roughly $2,850–$2,916/yr.

Fuel requirements55
#9 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Infiniti recommends premium unleaded (91+ octane) for optimal performance on the VC-Turbo 2.0L; the engine will run on regular but with reduced output. No E85 or diesel option and no home-charging pathway since there's no electrified variant — squarely in the premium-recommended tier.

3SafetyOne of the QX60's strongest categories.3.17B
NHTSA overall rating
5 stars overall
100/100
#1 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

The third-generation QX60 (2022-onward, same structure for 2026) earned a 5-star NHTSA overall rating with 5-star frontal, side, and rollover ratings; no structural changes for 2026 are expected to alter the result.

IIHS awards & crashworthiness68
#16 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

The current-generation QX60 earned Good ratings in most legacy IIHS tests and was a Top Safety Pick in early years, but under the updated moderate-overlap-front (rear passenger) protocol it rates only Acceptable and it is no longer TSP-eligible under 2025/2026 criteria.

Standard ADAS suite breadth84
#15 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Infiniti's Safety Shield 360 is standard on every 2026 QX60 trim including base Pure — AEB with pedestrian detection, BSM, RCTA, lane departure warning, and high-beam assist. Full ProPILOT Assist with adaptive cruise and lane centering is standard from Luxe upward, but the underlying ACC and LKA are on every trim.

Automatic emergency braking performance80
#11 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

IIHS front crash prevention testing on the current-generation QX60 rated the vehicle-to-vehicle system Superior and daytime pedestrian detection Advanced; nighttime pedestrian performance is competent but not class-leading.

Blind-spot & cross-traffic coverage82
#11 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Blind Spot Warning with Blind Spot Intervention and Rear Cross Traffic Alert are standard on every 2026 QX60 trim. Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection is standard from Luxe upward, adding a low-speed exit safety layer.

Lane keeping & centering74
#15 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

ProPILOT Assist's Intelligent Lane Intervention is smooth on well-marked highways, but reviewers describe centering as slightly reactive with occasional wander in curves compared with newer Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 or Honda Sensing 360 implementations.

Adaptive cruise & highway assist78
#16 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

ProPILOT Assist offers full-speed-range adaptive cruise with stop-and-hold and integrated lane centering, refined and predictable in traffic. ProPILOT Assist 2.0 with Navi-link on Sensory/Autograph adds route-based speed adjustment for curves and exits.

Hands-free driving availability0
#23 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

The 2026 QX60 offers no hands-free driving mode; ProPILOT Assist requires steering-wheel torque. Infiniti does not offer a Super Cruise/BlueCruise-equivalent hands-off system in any current model.

Headlight performance74
#13 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

LED reflector headlights are standard; adaptive LED projectors are standard from Luxe upward. IIHS rated volume trims Acceptable and top trims Good on the current generation, with high-beam assist standard across the range.

Outward visibility68
#16 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Rear-quarter visibility suffers from thick D-pillars and the rising beltline typical of the segment, and third-row headrests intrude on the rearward sightline. Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection compensates well at low speeds but does not resolve the highway blind spot.

Child-seat (LATCH) usability76
#14 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Second-row LATCH anchors are marked and reasonably accessible, and the second-row captain's chairs tilt-and-slide with a child seat installed for third-row access. Rear-door openings are wide, but the third row is tight for a rear-facing seat.

Second-row headroom is near the top of the SUV band.

Rear legroom

84/100
#4 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Second-row legroom is competitive with premium three-row rivals like MDX and Aviator.

Third-row usability58
#5 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Third row offers 28.8 in legroom and 36.6 in headroom — kid-friendly with easy access via the one-touch second-row slide that works with a child seat installed, but adults fit only for short hops.

Cargo/trunk volume
41.6 cu ft behind second row (14.5 cu ft behind third row)
30/100
#5 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Behind-second-row volume is average for a three-row mid-size SUV; smaller than Telluride/Palisade but competitive within the luxury three-row set.

Max cargo volume
75.4 cu ft (all rear seats folded)
45/100
#7 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Max cargo volume trails class leaders like Pilot and Telluride but is in line with Aviator and MDX.

In-cabin storage & clever solutions66
#11 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Deep console bin, twin-glovebox layout, and useful door pockets meet the mid-size luxury norm, but there are no standout innovations like frunks, in-floor storage, or Pro Power-style features.

Seat comfort78
#19 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Well-cushioned front seats with wide range of power adjustment; semi-aniline leather with quilted diamond stitching, massage, and heat/ventilation on Autograph. Second-row captain's chairs draw praise; some reviewers cite flatter cushions on the bench.

Ride quality74
#21 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Composed, absorbent ride tuned for comfort; softens broken pavement well but body motions are less tightly controlled than the Aviator or XC90 over undulations.

Cabin quietness72
#23 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Acoustic front-door glass and active noise cancellation on higher trims keep highway wind and road noise well suppressed, though not to the level of Lexus RX or Lincoln Nautilus.

Climate & comfort features88
#7 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Tri-zone automatic climate, heated front seats and steering wheel standard on Luxe and up; ventilated front seats, heated second row, and massaging front seats available on Sensory/Autograph. Remote engine start with pre-conditioning standard.

5Cost of OwnershipThe QX60's lowest-graded category.0.00F
Base MSRP
$52,595 (PURE FWD, incl. ~$1,395 destination)
31/100
#3 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Base PURE FWD opens at $51,200 (before destination) per Infiniti's launch release; adding the ~$1,395 destination fee puts the entry price around $52,600. Mid-pack for mid-size luxury 3-row SUVs — undercuts Audi Q7/Volvo XC90/Lincoln Aviator but stickers above Acura MDX.

Volume-Trim Price
$60,485 (LUXE AWD, typically equipped; incl. destination)
18/100
#2 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

LUXE AWD is flagged as the Most Popular configuration by KBB — it adds the Klipsch 16-speaker audio, ProPILOT Assist, 3D Around View Monitor, climate-controlled front seats and heated 2nd row. AWD adds $2,100 over LUXE FWD; with destination the volume trim lands just north of $60k. SPORT AWD ($62,190) and AUTOGRAPH AWD ($66,690) climb higher.

5-Year Maintenance & Repair Cost
~$7,500 over 5 years (est., LUXE volume trim)
31/100
#14 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Above segment median. Infiniti's dealer network is thin and hourly labor rates are premium-luxury even where content overlaps with Nissan Pathfinder mechanicals. CarEdge pegs 5-yr scheduled maintenance at ~$7,196 with an above-average $639 annual repair figure from RepairPal, so combined 5-yr outlay lands around $7.5–8k.

5-Year Resale Value Retention
~42% of MSRP retained after 5 years (blended forecast)
7/100
#14 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Weak retention — Infiniti's brand equity trails Lexus/Acura/Genesis in luxury residual forecasts, and 3-row luxury SUVs generally shed value faster than 2-row midsize competitors. Forecasts span CarEdge's 37% to KBB's ~49%; blended forecast around 42%, well below the top of the class.

Basic warranty
4 yr / 60,000 mi bumper-to-bumper
50/100
#2 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Standard Infiniti new-vehicle basic coverage — matches BMW/Mercedes/Audi/Lexus/Acura at 4 yr and edges most on the 60k mileage cap (vs. 50k). Trails Genesis's segment-leading 5-yr/60k basic.

Powertrain warranty
6 yr / 70,000 mi powertrain
20/100
#8 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

6 yr/70k powertrain sits at the low end of the luxury pack — matches Acura but trails Lexus (6/70) tie and Genesis's segment-leading 10-yr/100k. Meaningful gap vs. Korean rivals given QX60's mid-pack reliability outlook.

Complimentary maintenance & perks40
#21 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

No standard complimentary scheduled maintenance — the Infiniti Premium Care plan is a paid add-on, not bundled with purchase. Owners do get 4-yr/unlimited-mile roadside assistance with the basic warranty, an Infiniti Personal Assistant concierge trial, and a short SiriusXM/connected-services trial. Well behind BMW/Mercedes/Volvo/Cadillac programs that include multiple years of scheduled service.

Effective 5-Year Ownership Cost
$42,581 (≈$35,081 depreciation + $7,500 maintenance)
20/100
#5 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

$60,485 volume-trim price minus its estimated resale value after 5 years (42% retained, or about $25,404) leaves about $35,081 in depreciation. Add the projected $7,500 in 5-year maintenance and repairs, and owning this vehicle for 5 years costs about $42,581 in total.

6Reliability & QualityGrades above the middle of the scale.2.90B-
Predicted reliability68
#10 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Consumer Reports and J.D. Power ratings for the current-generation QX60 have generally landed near or slightly below segment average, reflecting new-generation growing pains with the 9-speed transmission and infotainment.

Brand reliability track record72
#8 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Infiniti has consistently landed mid-pack in J.D. Power VDS and CR brand rankings — behind Lexus, Acura, and Buick but ahead of most European luxury brands on long-term dependability.

Recall & TSB history70
#6 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Current-generation QX60 (2022+) has accumulated multiple NHTSA recalls including transmission software and seat/interior components, typical for a redesign but not systemic powertrain or safety failures.

Powertrain durability reputation78
#5 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

The 3.5L V6 is derived from Nissan's long-proven VQ family with a strong high-mileage track record, and the ZF-derived 9-speed automatic replaced the previous CVT — a durability upgrade with generally solid reputation.

Interior material quality81
#19 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

The 2022 redesign brought class-competitive materials — quilted semi-aniline leather, real open-pore wood, and aluminum trim in higher trims — with reviewers noting Autograph interiors as a genuine luxury step-up over the previous generation.

Fit & finish79
#10 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Assembly quality is generally solid with tight panel gaps and no widespread rattle complaints, though it does not reach the class-leading initial-quality benchmarks of Lexus RX/TX or Lincoln Nautilus.

Dealer & service network67
#15 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Infiniti operates roughly 200 US dealerships — a materially thinner footprint than Lexus, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, or Acura, and service satisfaction scores have trended average in recent J.D. Power CSI studies.

Parts availability & repair cost69
#5 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Shared Nissan Pathfinder underpinnings help mechanical parts availability and keep some repair costs in check, but Infiniti-branded interior/exterior trim carries luxury markup and dealer-only sourcing.

7Technology & InfotainmentThe QX60's best-graded category.3.60A-
Touchscreen size
12.3 in (standard all trims)
62/100
#13 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

All 2026 QX60 trims share the same 12.3-inch center touchscreen paired with a 12.3-inch digital cluster; no larger screen offered.

Infotainment UX & responsiveness85
#4 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

2026 refresh replaces Infiniti's older InTouch stack with Google Built-In on a 12.3-inch display — reviewers cite quick response, clean layout, and native Google Maps as a major step up from the QX60's previous system.

Wireless CarPlay / Android Auto95
#1 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto both standard on every 2026 QX60 trim (Pure through Autograph) — best-in-class availability.

Voice control & native navigation92
#3 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Google Assistant + Google Maps run natively in the head unit with always-updated maps and natural-language commands — one of the strongest OEM voice/nav pairings on the market.

Audio system quality82
#23 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Base Pure gets a 9-speaker system; Luxe/Sport step up to a 16-speaker Klipsch Reference Premiere; Autograph tops out with a 20-speaker Klipsch including front-headrest speakers — a strong premium ladder new for 2026.

Digital instrument cluster88
#11 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

12.3-inch fully reconfigurable digital instrument cluster standard across every trim — crisp graphics and multiple layouts.

OTA update capability80
#14 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Google Built-In platform delivers OTA updates to infotainment, maps, and Google services; Infiniti markets seamless OTA software updates, though evidence for full-vehicle module updates (like Rivian/Tesla) is limited.

Companion app & remote functions72
#17 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

MyINFINITI app provides remote start, lock/unlock, locate, and status; functional but not class-leading and no digital-key/phone-as-key offered.

Charging ports & device power88
#3 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Five USB-C ports across all three rows plus wireless phone charging standard from the base Pure trim — abundant device power for a three-row family SUV.

Keyless & remote access85
#12 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Intelligent Key with proximity entry and push-button start standard; hands-free power liftgate and remote engine start via app included on volume trims; no phone-as-key.

Camera & parking aids84
#15 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

3D Around View Monitor with Invisible Hood View, moving-object detection, and eight fixed viewpoints is standard from Luxe up (Pure gets rear camera only) — high-resolution and well-reviewed.

Head-up display availability60
#22 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

10.8-inch color HUD is exclusive to the top Autograph trim — not offered on Pure, Luxe, or Sport, so most buyers can't get it.

8Use-Case FitMid-pack among this car's ten categories.2.58C+
Kid & car-seat practicality80
#6 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Signature family feature: second-row captain's chairs (Luxe and up) tilt-and-slide for third-row access with a forward-facing child seat still installed — genuinely rare in the segment. Wide door openings, easy-access LATCH anchors, and 40.1 in of second-row legroom make daily kid loading painless; only the tight 28.8 in third row keeps this from a benchmark score.

Family safety package78
#11 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

5-star NHTSA overall and Safety Shield 360 (AEB with pedestrian, BSW, RCTA, LDW, rear-occupant alert) standard on every trim including base Pure — strong safety proposition at family-friendly price points. Held back from a top score by an Acceptable IIHS updated moderate-overlap rating (no current Top Safety Pick status) and ProPILOT Assist being locked behind the Luxe trim rather than standard.

Family road-trip comfort82
#8 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Tri-zone climate, heated second-row outboard seats, five USB-C ports across all three rows, wireless charging, and up to a 20-speaker Klipsch system make multi-hour trips easy on kids and adults alike. Second-row 39.6 in headroom and 40.1 in legroom are spacious; 41.6 cu ft behind row two swallows a family's road-trip gear even with the third row up.

Daily driving ease78
#15 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Composed, absorbent ride, quiet cabin, light steering, and ProPILOT Assist adaptive cruise + lane centering standard from Luxe upward make the QX60 a relaxed daily companion. The 2.0L VC-Turbo behaves smoothly in low-load city driving, though reviewers note it turns buzzy under harder acceleration and the 9-speed auto occasionally hunts.

Commuting cost efficiency45
#17 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

24 MPG combined on premium unleaded, no hybrid/PHEV/EV variant offered — one of the weakest per-mile cost profiles in mid-size luxury 3-row where Lexus TX Hybrid, Lincoln Aviator PHEV, Volvo XC90 T8, and Mercedes GLE 450e all provide electrified alternatives. EPA-methodology annual fuel cost lands around $2,900.

Parking & maneuverability68
#7 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

At ~198 in long and a 39.3 ft turning circle, the QX60 is average for the mid-size 3-row set — manageable in the suburbs, awkward in tight urban lots. 3D Around View Monitor with Invisible Hood View (standard Luxe+) helps meaningfully; base Pure gets only a rear camera, which drags the volume-trim score.

Work capability60
#9 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

6,000 lb max tow rating with the towing package (3,500 lb standard) is middle-of-pack for mid-size luxury 3-row — matches Aviator/BMW X5 range but trails GLE (7,700 lb) and full-size luxury SUVs. The 268 hp turbo four handles light-to-moderate loads but lacks the low-end grunt of a V6 or diesel for heavy hauling; cargo bay is family-SUV-sized rather than work-tool-sized.

Durability for work duty52
#10 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Semi-aniline leather, wood trim, and quilted seats are luxury-oriented rather than wear-friendly, and no rubber-floor or fleet-spec configuration is offered. Shared Pathfinder underpinnings give some real-world durability grounding, but the QX60 has no fleet or work-duty reputation to draw on and the VC-Turbo's long-term abuse tolerance is unproven relative to a pushrod V8 or PowerBoost hybrid.

Jobsite & upfit practicality40
#16 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

No onboard AC power outlets, no bed obviously, no factory upfit ecosystem, and interior surfaces are premium materials rather than washable. Roof rails and a tow hitch cover the basic haul-a-bike-rack and pull-a-small-trailer cases, but the QX60 has essentially no jobsite provisions — it is a family luxury SUV, not a work vehicle.

Long-distance comfort & range78
#18 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Well-cushioned power seats (heated/ventilated on Luxe+, massage on Autograph), a quiet cabin with acoustic glass and active noise cancellation, ~444 mi cruising range, and ProPILOT Assist adaptive cruise + lane centering make it a genuinely relaxing highway tourer. Not as isolated as a Lincoln Nautilus or Lexus RX and the buzzy turbo intrudes under load, keeping it out of benchmark territory.

Outdoor & adventure capability65
#15 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Intelligent AWD is available across the range, 6,000 lb towing handles a small camper or boat, and roof rails support a rooftop tent or bike rack — plenty for gravel-road adventure. Ground clearance of ~6.9 in and low-profile crossover tires keep it out of true off-road territory; no terrain-response drive modes or dedicated off-road package are offered.

Gear & luggage flexibility72
#10 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

75.4 cu ft max cargo and 41.6 cu ft behind row two swallow normal road-trip gear well, and second and third rows fold flat with a power-fold option on Autograph. Roof rails and Class III hitch expand carrying options — solid flexibility, though behind space-class leaders like Pilot (87+ cu ft) or Telluride and lacking a frunk or in-floor storage tricks.

9Driving ExperienceMid-pack among this car's ten categories.2.42C+
Handling & agility65
#20 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Comfort-tuned three-row luxury SUV with secure but unremarkable dynamics; body control is composed for daily use, but there is noticeable body roll and modest grip compared with an Audi Q7 or Genesis GV80. Sits close to Acura MDX (65.8) in feel.

Steering feel62
#17 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Electric power steering is accurate on-center and well-damped but has little feedback and a light, isolated feel that matches Infiniti's comfort mission rather than a sport brief.

Braking confidence70
#16 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Pedal is firm and progressive with predictable modulation; stopping distances are unremarkable for the class but there are no reported fade or grabbiness issues.

Powertrain smoothness & response68
#19 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

The 3.5L V6 is smooth once rolling, but the ZF-sourced 9-speed automatic is criticized for occasional low-speed hesitation and abrupt downshifts, muting drivability compared with the segment's best 10-speeds and dual-clutches.

Drivetrain noise & vibration72
#19 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

V6 is quiet and refined at cruise with good vibration isolation; it becomes audibly thrashy under hard acceleration but is not intrusive in normal driving.

Turning circle
38.7 ft (curb-to-curb)
41/100
#3 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Manufacturer curb-to-curb turning diameter for the 2026 QX60 is 38.7 ft, mid-pack for a mid-size three-row luxury SUV.

Driving position & ergonomics78
#12 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Commanding SUV seating position with generous seat and wheel adjustment, easy ingress/egress, and a well-organized dash; sightlines are good forward but the C-pillar and third row create modest rear blind spots.

Fun-to-drive factor60
#17 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

The QX60 is deliberately tuned as a comfortable family hauler rather than a driver's SUV — pleasant and quiet, but without the character, sound, or eagerness that enthusiasts recommend.

10Value & Market PositionOne of the QX60's strongest categories.3.00B
Standard equipment generosity78
#9 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Base PURE at $51,200 includes 20-inch alloys, dual 12.3-inch screens with Google built-in, wireless charging, five USB-C ports, full LED lighting, and TailorFit seating — content that costs thousands more on Mercedes GLE or Audi Q7.

Feature value per dollar78
#5 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Edmunds explicitly notes value is the QX60's strongest case, undercutting Mercedes GLE and Audi Q7 by roughly $10k while matching most content; refinement gap keeps it from a class-leading grade.

Trim & configuration breadth72
#15 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Four well-spaced trims (PURE, LUXE, SPORT, AUTOGRAPH) from $51,200 to $68,040 with FWD/AWD availability — reasonable spread, though a single 268-hp VC-Turbo powertrain (no hybrid or PHEV) limits flexibility versus GLE/X5.

Sales popularity & market acceptance74
#8 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

QX60 is Infiniti's volume leader with sales up 64% YoY in Q1 2026 and 45% of brand sales, though absolute volume still trails segment leaders like Acura MDX and Lexus RX.

Brand desirability & image58
#21 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Infiniti brand carries a neutral-to-below-average image versus German and Japanese luxury peers — a declining dealer footprint and unclear brand direction hurt resale and aspirational appeal even as product improves.

Deals & incentive availability85
#2 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Aggressive current offers: 0% APR for 60 months on SPORT/AUTOGRAPH, 1.9% APR on PURE/LUXE, up to $6,000 cash back, and leases from $449/mo — strong buyer-side value even if it signals slower turn.

Model freshness80
#5 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Third-generation platform launched for MY2022 received a comprehensive 2026 refresh — QX80-inspired grille with illuminated 3D emblem, dual 12.3-inch Google-built-in displays, and Klipsch audio upgrades keep the design current.

Critical reception & awards65
#19 of 23 Mid-Size Luxury SUVsCompare all →

Split verdict: IIHS Top Safety Pick+ and NHTSA 5-star are class-leading, but Edmunds' 5.7/10 test verdict and U.S. News' #15 Luxury Midsize SUV ranking flag ride and refinement gaps versus rivals.
