Buy it with a home charger, heavy dealer incentives, and eyes open — or lease it, which is what the 1.9% APR and ~$529/month offers are quietly telling you. The Ultium skateboard's floor-mounted battery and a 121.8-inch wheelbase give the Blazer EV a low center of gravity and genuinely well-controlled body motions, but the volume LT/RS is secure rather than eager — reviewers consistently note it lacks handling zest against a Mustang Mach-E or Ioniq 5. Only the SS, with 60% stiffer anti-roll bars, 30% stiffer springs and new dampers, turns that composure into something engaging, and it is not the volume trim.
The clearest weak point of the car. The rack is slow and heavily assisted, accurate enough to place the car but effectively mute about what the front tires are doing, and no variable-ratio or performance rack is offered on the mainstream trims. The volume LT/RS is pleasant and quick-feeling without being memorable — the sporty exterior and driver-oriented cabin promise more than the numb steering and stiff-but-uncommunicative ride deliver. It rates above the Equinox EV because the AWD versions have real thrust and the nameplate carries genuine performance credibility from the 615-hp SS, but nobody is taking the volume trim the long way home.
