The verdict

A capable mid-size luxury sedan, strong on technology and held back by ownership.

The 2025 E-Class is MotorTrend's 2025 Car of the Year for good reason: it has the best cabin in its class, a hushed and supple ride, and a big 14.4-inch MBUX screen, all wrapped around a smooth 255-hp mild-hybrid four-cylinder. You pay for it, though. It starts at $63,600, typical builds land near $70,000, it runs only on premium fuel, and the warranty is just 4 years / 50,000 miles. Expect roughly $52,000 in depreciation and maintenance over five years. Buy it for comfort and prestige, not for value or a big trunk.

The E 350's 2.0L turbo I4 makes 295 lb-ft; the E 450 I6 makes 369 lb-ft and the AMG E 53 Hybrid system peaks at 553 lb-ft.

0–60 mph time
6.1 s (E 350, manufacturer); 4.4 s (E 450 4MATIC); 3.7 s (AMG E 53 Hybrid)
52/100
#9 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

Mercedes quotes 6.1 s to 60 mph for the E 350, 4.4 s for the E 450 4MATIC and 3.7 s for the AMG E 53 Hybrid.

Powertrain refinement80
#4 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

Second model year of the W214; the 48V ISG smooths stop-start and low-rpm response on the E 350's four-cylinder, and the E 450's inline-six is among the smoothest engines in the class. The four-cylinder is slightly coarser than the six when worked hard.

Transmission behavior82
#5 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

The 9G-TRONIC nine-speed automatic (standard on all three models) shifts smoothly and decisively and rarely hunts; the AMG's SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9G adds sharper response.

AWD/4WD availability85
#3 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

4MATIC AWD is available on the E 350 and standard on the E 450 and AMG E 53 (4MATIC+ with fully variable torque split); the only non-AWD configuration is the E 350 RWD.

Powertrain lineup breadth78
#4 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

For 2025 the US lineup spans three distinct powertrains: 2.0L I4 mild hybrid (E 350), 3.0L I6 mild hybrid (E 450) and the new AMG E 53 plug-in hybrid with ~43 mi EV range. No mainstream PHEV or full EV (that role is the separate EQE).

NHTSA overall rating
4.5 stars (inferred — NHTSA has not tested the W214 generation)
75/100
#8 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

NHTSA has published no crash-test results for the 2025 E-Class (W214 generation, 2024+). Inferred at 4.5 stars: Good IIHS small-overlap and updated side results support a strong frontal/side structure, but the Poor rear-passenger restraint finding in the updated IIHS moderate overlap test argues against inferring a clean 5 stars.

IIHS awards & crashworthiness70
#5 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

IIHS lists the 2025 E-Class sedan as a Top Safety Pick (not TSP+), with Good small overlap front and Good updated side. The updated moderate overlap front rates Marginal overall — the driver dummy scored Good but rear-passenger restraints rated Poor as the lap belt slid onto the abdomen — a real weakness that keeps this out of the top band.

Standard ADAS suite breadth74
#9 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

Standard on the volume E 350: Active Brake Assist (AEB with pedestrian detection), Blind Spot Assist with Exit Warning, Attention Assist, PRE-SAFE, PARKTRONIC and a Surround View 360 camera. DISTRONIC adaptive cruise, Active Steering Assist lane centering, Active Blind Spot Assist and cross-traffic braking are bundled into the optional Driver Assistance Package — unusual gaps at this price point.

Automatic emergency braking performance72
#8 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

IIHS rates the standard Active Brake Assist only Acceptable in both the vehicle-to-vehicle 2.0 and pedestrian front crash prevention tests; the optional Driver Assistance package system earns Good in both. The volume configuration without the package therefore sits mid-band.

Blind-spot & cross-traffic coverage76
#8 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

Blind Spot Assist with Exit Warning (safe-exit alert) is standard on every E-Class. Active Blind Spot Assist with braking intervention and rear cross-traffic braking come only with the Driver Assistance Package, so the base setup is alert-plus-exit-warning.

Lane keeping & centering77
#4 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

Active Steering Assist (Driver Assistance Package) is widely reviewed as smooth and confident, with route-based curve anticipation; without the package the car has lane-keeping alerts only.

Adaptive cruise & highway assist80
#2 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC offers full-speed stop-and-go with route-based speed adaptation for limits, curves and roundabouts, and reviewers rate it natural in traffic. It is package-optional rather than standard on the E 350.

Hands-free driving availability25
#5 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

No hands-free driving mode is offered on the 2025 E-Class; Mercedes' Drive Pilot (Level 3) is limited to S-Class and EQS in California and Nevada. The E-Class assistance is hands-on with capacitive wheel detection.

Headlight performance65
#7 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

IIHS rates the standard LED headlights Acceptable and only the optional Digital Light package Good, so the volume configuration falls short of a Good rating.

Outward visibility77
#2 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

Conventional three-box sedan roofline gives decent sightlines, and the standard Surround View 360 camera compensates in tight spaces; a high beltline and thick C-pillars leave some rear-quarter blind zones covered by standard Blind Spot Assist.

Child-seat (LATCH) usability82
#2 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

IIHS rates the 2025 E-Class LATCH ease of use Good, with two complete LATCH positions and a tether-only center seat; the roomy rear and wide door openings ease installation, though three-across is tight.

100/100
#1 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

Conventional 2+3 five-passenger layout on the E 350, E 350 4MATIC and E 450 4MATIC.

Front headroom
37.3 in (with standard panoramic roof)
32/100
#11 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

The 2025 E 350 comes standard with a panoramic sunroof, so the published 37.3 in figure is the one buyers actually get; middling for the class.

Front legroom
41.5 in
38/100
#9 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

Adequate front legroom for tall drivers, but not class-leading.

Rear headroom
37.6 in
65/100
#11 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

The W214's taller roofline gives better-than-average rear headroom for a mid-size sedan.

Rear legroom
36.2 in
42/100
#9 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

Rear legroom is acceptable for adults but trails the Genesis G80 and Audi A6. The 116.6 in wheelbase doesn't turn into much extra rear-seat room.

Cargo/trunk volume
12.7 cu ft (gas E 350/E 450); smaller in E 350e PHEV
27/100
#12 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

Small trunk for a mid-size luxury sedan: smaller than the BMW 5 Series and Genesis G80. One secondary listing of 19.1 cu ft looks like a unit mix-up, and the dealer and KBB figures agree on 12.7.

In-cabin storage & clever solutions66
#5 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

Conventional but competent storage: a covered console bin, a wireless-charging tray, door pockets, and a 40/20/40 folding rear seat. Nothing innovative, and the glossy screen-dominated dash leaves little small-item space.

Seat comfort85
#5 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

Heated power front seats with memory are standard and supportive; the Multicontour Seating Package ($2,950) adds ventilation, massage and adjustable bolsters. The rear bench is well shaped but a little firm.

Ride quality82
#5 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

The standard steel suspension on the E 350 is compliant and controlled. Optional AIRMATIC air suspension with rear-axle steering gives an S-Class-like glide, and firmness shows only on the larger AMG Line wheels.

Cabin quietness86
#5 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

Road, wind and powertrain noise are very well suppressed at highway speed, among the quietest cabins in the mid-size luxury class, with a little tire roar on larger wheels.

Climate & comfort features76
#9 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

Dual-zone climate, heated front seats and remote start are standard. For a $63K-plus car, too much is optional: the heated steering wheel is in a $450 Winter Package, and ventilated seats need the Leather ($800) or Multicontour package. Four-zone climate and heated rear seats are also optional.

5Cost of OwnershipThe E-Class's lowest-graded category.0.00F
Base MSRP
$63,600 (E 350 RWD, incl. $1,150 destination); E 350 4MATIC ~$65K, E 450 4MATIC ~$71K
0/100
#5 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

For 2025 the W214 E-Class starts with the rear-drive E 350 at $62,450 plus $1,150 destination. That is well above the $55K sedan band ceiling, so it scores at the floor.

Volume-Trim Price
~$70,000 (E 350 4MATIC with Premium package, typically equipped)
0/100
#5 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

The typical US delivery is an E 350 4MATIC with the Premium package (Burmester audio, 360° camera, etc.), which lands around $68K–$72K. The E 450 4MATIC starts at about $71K before options.

5-Year Maintenance & Repair Cost
~$10,000 over 5 years (KBB: $10,481 maintenance)
0/100
#12 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

Mercedes dealer service pricing (Service A/B) and repair costs once the 4-yr/50k warranty expires in year 5 put the E-Class above the top of the sedan band. KBB projects about $10.5K in maintenance alone, and other outlets are slightly lower.

5-Year Resale Value Retention
~35–46% of MSRP retained after 5 years (source range)
17/100
#9 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

KBB projects $41,192 of depreciation against a $63,600 E 350, which leaves only about 35% after 5 years. Broader depreciation studies put the E-Class nearer 45%, so the 40% used here is the midpoint of that range. Mid-size luxury sedans lose value steeply.

Basic warranty
4 yr / 50,000 mi bumper-to-bumper
50/100
#2 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

The Mercedes-Benz New Vehicle Limited Warranty is 4 years / 50,000 miles. That matches BMW and Audi and trails Genesis's 5 yr/60k.

Powertrain warranty
4 yr / 50,000 mi (no separate powertrain term)
0/100
#8 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

Mercedes has no extended powertrain warranty; powertrain coverage ends with the basic warranty at 4 yr / 50k mi. That is below the 5-year sedan band floor.

Complimentary maintenance & perks45
#11 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

Owner perks are roadside assistance for the warranty term and a Mercedes me connect trial period. Scheduled maintenance is not included (it is sold as prepaid plans), so the E-Class trails Genesis, Lexus, Volvo and BMW-era programs that cover multiple years of service.

Effective 5-Year Ownership Cost
$52,000 (≈$42,000 depreciation + $10,000 maintenance)
0/100
#9 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

$70,000 volume-trim price minus its estimated resale value after 5 years (40% retained, or about $28,000) leaves about $42,000 in depreciation. Add the projected $10,000 in 5-year maintenance and repairs, and owning this vehicle for 5 years costs about $52,000 in total.

6Reliability & QualityMid-pack among this car's ten categories.2.66C+
Predicted reliability64
#7 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

2025 is the second model year of the W214 generation (launched for MY2024) and a carry-over year. Consumer Reports predicts only about-average reliability, based largely on the Mercedes brand score and limited E-Class data, and rates the 2025 as less reliable than other cars of the same model year. Owner complaints cluster on MBUX/electronics and the 48V mild-hybrid system rather than on core mechanicals. That puts it just below the 2026 car and ahead of the C-Class.

Brand reliability track record65
#5 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

Mercedes-Benz regularly lands in the lower half of the J.D. Power VDS and Consumer Reports brand rankings. It is not bottom-tier like Alfa Romeo or Land Rover, but it trails Lexus, Toyota and Buick and sits slightly behind BMW.

Recall & TSB history60
#9 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

NHTSA lists 3 recalls for the 2025 E-Class. The most serious is a do-not-drive campaign: the camber-strut bracket may have been improperly welded onto the rear axle carrier and can separate, risking loss of control, and dealers replace the whole carrier. There are further multi-model electrical and software campaigns across the 2024–2026 Mercedes lineup. The 2025 scores below the 2026 (70) because this year carries a severe chassis safety recall.

Powertrain durability reputation73
#7 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

The volume E 350 uses the M254 2.0-litre turbo four with a 48V integrated starter-generator. The mild-hybrid complexity is the main uncertainty, and 2025 has one year less of field data than the 2026. The optional E 450's M256 inline-six has been in production since 2018 with a solid record, and the 9G-Tronic 9-speed automatic is proven and mature.

Interior material quality93
#1 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

The W214 cabin is the class benchmark: optional MBUX Superscreen, backlit trim, open-pore wood and top-shelf switchgear. Much of its material palette is shared with the S-Class, and reviewers rate it at or above the BMW 5 Series and Audi A6.

Fit & finish85
#2 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

Assembly from Sindelfingen is tight, with low rattle rates and premium feel. It scores slightly below the 2026 car because the 2025 rear-axle weld recall is a manufacturing-quality lapse, and early W214 cars had some MBUX freeze and reboot complaints.

Dealer & service network80
#2 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

Roughly 380 Mercedes-Benz dealers cover all 50 states, a denser network than BMW's or Audi's. Service satisfaction is mid-pack among luxury brands.

Parts availability & repair cost48
#12 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

Mercedes parts are among the most expensive in the industry and are largely sourced through dealers. The 48V system, optional air suspension and Superscreen electronics push out-of-warranty repair costs higher, and the independent aftermarket is thinner than for mainstream brands.

7Technology & InfotainmentThe E-Class's best-graded category.3.66A-
Touchscreen size
14.4 in center touchscreen (MBUX Superscreen Package, $1,500, adds a 12.3 in passenger display)
87/100
#5 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

The 2025 E-Class has a 14.4-inch central MBUX touchscreen. The optional Superscreen package adds a 12.3-inch front-passenger display, for about 39 inches of total screen.

Infotainment UX & responsiveness82
#2 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

Third-generation MBUX responds quickly and its graphics are sharp. Reviewers still fault the reliance on touch for climate and the haptic steering-wheel controls.

Wireless CarPlay / Android Auto92
#1 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard on every 2025 E-Class trim.

Voice control & native navigation86
#5 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

The natural-language 'Hey Mercedes' assistant is one of the most capable in the industry. MBUX navigation is standard, and Augmented Reality navigation is available.

Audio system quality88
#2 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

The base system is solid. The optional Burmester 4D surround system with Dolby Atmos and seat transducers is widely praised, and at $1,030 it is a relatively inexpensive upgrade.

Digital instrument cluster88
#4 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

A crisp, configurable 12.3-inch digital driver display is standard, with several selectable styles.

OTA update capability78
#7 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

The MB.OS-derived MBUX receives over-the-air updates for infotainment, maps and some vehicle functions, and features can be bought through the Mercedes me Store. The scope is still narrower than Tesla-style whole-vehicle updates.

Companion app & remote functions78
#5 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

The Mercedes me connect app handles remote start, lock/unlock, vehicle status and locating the car, and remote start is standard on the 2025 E 350. Many connected features become paid subscriptions after the trial period.

Charging ports & device power78
#4 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

USB-C ports front and rear plus wireless phone charging cover everyday needs. There is no household AC outlet.

Keyless & remote access84
#6 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

Push-button start, standard remote start, a power trunk closer and flush motorized door handles cover the basics. Full KEYLESS-GO hands-free entry and the digital key sit in option packages.

Camera & parking aids88
#1 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

A Surround View camera, Parking Assist and PARKTRONIC sensors are standard on every 2025 E-Class, which is rare for the class.

Head-up display availability66
#6 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

An AR-capable head-up display is available, but only with the $3,400 Pinnacle Trim, not on the Premium volume trim.

8Use-Case FitOne of the E-Class's weakest categories.1.57D
Kid & car-seat practicality68
#7 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

Good LATCH access and decent rear headroom make car-seat installs easy. Tight rear legroom for a rear-facing seat and a small 12.7 cu ft trunk limit stroller-plus-luggage duty.

Family safety package72
#7 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

It earned an IIHS Top Safety Pick (not TSP+), but the updated moderate-overlap test rates Marginal because of rear-passenger protection. Surround View, blind-spot and exit warning are standard. Adaptive cruise and steering assist need the $1,950 Driver Assistance Package.

Family road-trip comfort76
#6 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

A very quiet cabin, excellent seats and a composed ride make long trips pleasant. Rear amenities like heated rear seats and extra climate zones are optional, and the trunk is tight for four people's luggage.

Daily driving ease82
#6 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

The 48V mild hybrid and 9-speed automatic make stop-and-go traffic smooth and effortless. Reviewers flag touchy, grabby brakes at low speed and touch-heavy controls as minor annoyances.

Commuting cost efficiency42
#10 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

27 MPG combined on premium fuel is good for a luxury AWD sedan. German-luxury maintenance and insurance still make it an expensive car to commute in.

Parking & maneuverability72
#2 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

The standard Surround View camera, sensors and Parking Assist make a 195-inch sedan easy to park. The 39.4 ft turning circle is wide without the optional rear-axle steering.

Work capability15
#11 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

It has no US tow rating, no factory hitch and a small trunk, so it is not a work vehicle.

Durability for work duty20
#13 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

Leather, glossy screens, large alloy wheels and complex 48V electronics are built for luxury use, not hard work.

Jobsite & upfit practicality10
#12 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

There is no AC outlet, no roof rails, no hitch and no upfit ecosystem.

Long-distance comfort & range84
#5 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

A quiet cabin, benchmark seats and a composed ride make it an excellent highway car, with about 470 miles of range. DISTRONIC adaptive cruise is optional rather than standard.

Outdoor & adventure capability38
#10 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

4MATIC AWD on the volume trim helps in snow and on gravel roads. Low ground clearance, no roof rails and no tow rating keep it on pavement.

Gear & luggage flexibility40
#10 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

The 40/20/40 folding rear seat helps with long items. The 12.7 cu ft trunk is small for the class, and there is no roof-rail or hitch option.

9Driving ExperienceMid-pack among this car's ten categories.2.67C+
Handling & agility74
#6 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

The W214 chassis is secure and composed, with good body control, and optional air suspension and rear-axle steering add polish. The tuning favors comfort over the sharper BMW 5 Series.

Steering feel64
#8 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

Steering is accurate and consistent but light and short on feedback.

Braking confidence70
#11 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

Stopping power is strong. The pedal is grabby at the top of its travel, so smooth stops take a gentle foot.

Powertrain smoothness & response84
#5 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

The 48V integrated starter-generator fills in turbo lag and makes stop/start nearly seamless, and the 9G-TRONIC shifts smoothly.

Drivetrain noise & vibration76
#5 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

The engine is well isolated at a cruise, but the E 350's 2.0T sounds a bit coarse when worked hard compared with the E 450's inline-six.

Turning circle
39.4 ft (E 350 4MATIC; tighter with optional rear-axle steering)
10/100
#8 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

Wide turning circle for the volume 4MATIC configuration. Optional rear-axle steering tightens it noticeably.

Driving position & ergonomics82
#1 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

Power seats with memory give a wide adjustment range and a good driving position. Haptic steering-wheel controls and climate settings buried in the screen cost points.

Fun-to-drive factor70
#6 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

The E 350 is a capable, refined cruiser rather than an engaging driver's car; the E 450 and AMG E 53 Hybrid add character.

10Value & Market PositionOne of the E-Class's strongest categories.3.32B+
Standard equipment generosity75
#8 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

The 2025 E 350 comes standard with MBUX with a 14.4-in central display and 12.3-in cluster, wireless CarPlay/Android Auto, LED headlights, heated power memory seats and the core active-safety suite. Burmester 4D audio, a head-up display, Digital Light, the passenger Superscreen and much of the advanced driver-assist content are extra-cost packages. That is competitive with the 5 Series and A6 but short of Genesis G80 base content.

Feature value per dollar68
#7 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

At $63,600 for a 255-hp 2.0T mild-hybrid E 350 RWD, the E-Class is priced at the top of the class. Options quickly push it past $70K, and the E 450 starts around $71K. BMW's 530i matches the money, and the Genesis G80 gives far more content for less.

Trim & configuration breadth74
#4 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

The 2025 lineup has the E 350 in RWD or 4MATIC, the E 450 4MATIC sedan, the E 450 All-Terrain wagon and the AMG E 53 Hybrid above them, with deep package and option flexibility. The US-market E 350e plug-in was not yet offered, which leaves a gap.

Sales popularity & market acceptance76
#4 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

The W214 is a US growth driver for Mercedes: Q4 2024 sales were up 60% year over year (6,165 units), and the E-Class was named alongside the GLC as a growth driver in Q1 2025. It trades segment leadership with the 5 Series, but the mid-size luxury sedan segment keeps shrinking.

Brand desirability & image92
#1 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

Mercedes-Benz is a top-tier aspirational luxury brand, and the E-Class is its benchmark executive sedan with decades of brand equity.

Deals & incentive availability72
#9 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

In its second year, the E-Class had normalized inventory and MBFS lease programs and APR offers on the E 350 were common. Model-year-end clearance of 2025s ahead of the 2026 models adds leverage. Cash discounts on optioned cars are modest.

Model freshness88
#2 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

The sixth-generation W214 debuted in April 2023 as a 2024 model, so 2025 is its second model year. The MBUX Superscreen, current mild-hybrid powertrains and platform are all current, and no redesign is anywhere near.

Critical reception & awards86
#1 of 13 Mid-Size Luxury CarsCompare all →

The E-Class won MotorTrend's 2025 Car of the Year and holds an IIHS Top Safety Pick. Reviewers praise its ride, quietness and cabin quality, while noting gimmicky in-car apps and dynamics a step behind the 5 Series.
